Carlsund Educational Center is one of Motala municipality's high schools. We cherish values such as multiculturalism, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. The school offers seven national vocational programs:

We also have introductory programs and vocational training within our national programs. The school constitutes a creative environment, and we develop the operation in close collaboration with local industry representatives where students' entrepreneurship is in focus.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a vocational teacher for the Construction and Civil Engineering program with specializations in building construction, painting, and sheet metal work.

Work in subject teams and working groups, mentorship, and other teaching tasks are included in the assignment. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of teaching based on the curriculum and course plan. You create a safe and inclusive learning environment and support, motivate, and stimulate students' knowledge development through varied working methods based on their individual conditions.

In your teaching, you make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities, encouraging creativity and curiosity, and making it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways. You work based on proven experience and research and strive for students to achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially.

You carefully document students' performance and development. You maintain contact and collaborate with guardians and other actors outside the school and inform guardians about students' development. Through systematic quality work, you work to ensure that set goals are achieved. Together with your working group, you develop the school's mission and continuously promote collegial learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Qualifications:

• We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher with the authority to teach in the relevant subject or has the experience, qualities, and interest required for the role of vocational teacher.
• You have experience in the relevant profession and industry and possess good knowledge of the subject. It is an advantage if you have experience in all specializations (building construction, painting, sheet metal work) and knowledge of the industry in our local area.
• Experience working in educational activities or other professional or voluntary activities aimed at young people is an advantage.
• You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

Personal Qualifications:

• You organize and plan your work well, work according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set deadlines and meet them.
• You take the initiative in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to create and maintain new relationships.
• You work well with others. You relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal.
